Softness is often mistaken for weakness, but it takes incredible strength to remain gentle in a hard world.
Women are often praised for toughness, resilience, and endurance but, unfortunately, rarely for tenderness. Yet softness is what allows us to listen, to heal, and to lead with compassion even when life presses against us hard. It is also what allows us to be a soft place to land for those around us. Who do you want when you are sick… mom. Let’s face it, your tenderness matters more than you know.
Softness is not the absence of strength. It is truly strength refined by grace. Strength forged in a fire but not made hard. Strength that can carry toughness, resilience, and endurance but most definitely doesn’t leave out the tenderness. So, be soft, cry if you need to because the important ones know it’s not weakness. Show yourself that tenderness too. You may not have a soft place to land, so be your own.
Did that make sense? I am not the best explainer so please let me know… did that land with you or am I in left field?
